Our History

Our Lady of Port Richmond Regional Catholic School was formed through the merger of three parish schools:  Nativity B.V.M, Our Lady Help of Christians and St. Adalbert.

After years of study and evaluation, it was determined that due to economics and other factors that the three individual schools would be able to better serve the Port Richmond community and provide ALL of the elements of a quality Catholic education if they were unified.  Therefore, in September of 2008, the schools came together to form a regional school located at the former St. Adalbert's site.

Since the merger, students in the Port Richmond area (and beyond) have benefitted from this unification.  The regional school, which is both fiscally sound and operationally enchanced, provides a full academic course of study which includes all of the basics, as well as extended programs such as a music program, art studio, world language offerings, the TECH Kids and TECH Kids Jr. iPad programs, SMARTboards, Simple Solutions curriculum add-on for grammar, Math and Reading Resource Rooms, Accelerated Math, the Blueprint for Early Literacy program in Pre-K and Kindergarten, and a growing roster of extracurricular activities and other amenities that not only make the school competitive but above the standard for elementary education.
