Dear Parents/Guardians,

Blessings this day!

This link below contains details and information for the reopening of Our Lady of Port Richmond for the 2020-2021 school year. As we've been communicating, our internal task force has been working extremely hard to review all of the information available to us from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the State of Pennsylvania, the City of Philadelphia and various health organizations to formulate a plan and procedure for opening in September.

At this time, I would like to thank all of those involved in this process for their countless hours of work, invaluable insight and commitment to delivering a plan designed to deliver the best of Catholic education in the safest way possible for our students, staff and families. Please note that as with all plans, especially during these challenging times, these documents are fluid and may be updated if new information becomes available to us. So please continue to check your emails and the OLPR website in the coming weeks.

We ask that you please take some time to click the button below and to review all of the information. Next week, parents/guardians will receive an email from your student's classroom teacher for virtual back to school night. It is required that at least one parent attend. During these Zoom meetings individual classroom information will be reviewed, and any questions you might have can be discussed.

In addition to the reopening plan, we are sharing with you the 2020-2021 OLPR handbook. It has never been more important for everyone to be on the the same page and to have a complete understanding of all of our policies and procedures. This being said, we ask that you please read the handbook, as well as our reopening plan document (link above) and review them with your students.

In order to ensure that everyone has done this, we are requiring that all students have a completed signature page on file before the first day of school. No student will be permitted to enter the building without this completed form. You can print, sign and email the completed form to Ms. King at aking@olpr.org, or you can bring it to the school office. If you do not have a printer, forms are available in the school office. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

ALL COMPLETED FORMS MUST BE RETURNED BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2020.

As always, please feel free to reach out via phone or email if you have any questions or if you are unclear about anything in our plan. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked to finalize our plan, and for entrusting your most precious children to us. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September, and continue to pray for everyone during these challenging times.

God be with you,
Sr. Mary and the OLPR Reopening Task Force
