About The Sister Mary Ripp, SCC Catholic Legacy Scholarship

The Sister Mary Ripp, SCC Catholic Legacy Scholarship is designed to support Our Lady of Port Richmond school families whose students best exemplify the core values of the Catholic faith. This scholarship honors the legacy of Sister Mary Ripp, a beloved principal, educator, and servant of the Church, who dedicated her life to nurturing the faith, character, and academic growth of countless students. The scholarship aims to continue her mission by recognizing students who embody the qualities of faith, compassion, service, and integrity in their school and community.

Initially funded through the generosity of Frank Byrne, the Sister Mary Ripp Catholic Legacy Scholarship provides financial assistance to help families ensure their children continue to grow spiritually and academically, while serving as shining examples of Catholic values in action. In subsequent years, the scholarship will be funded through donations and other fundraising activities.
